West Michigan Billboards Slam Huizenga and Trump for Skyrocketing Costs

Kalamazoo, MI  –  As Big Oil companies continue toannounce billions in profits, and diesel prices hit record highs,Climate Power is continuing a five-figure billboard campaign in  West Michigan to make clear that Donald Trump and Rep. Huizenga are directly to blame for West Michigan families’ out-of-control costs. The digital billboards will be running throughout the 4th Congressional District, including along US-31 in Ottawa County and I-196 outside of Grand Rapids.

“​​Farmers and tourism-related small businesses in West Michigan are hurting because of Trump and Huizenga’s affordability crisis,” said Tom Lenard, Michigan State Director for Climate Power.  “Instead of standing up to Trump, Huizenga keeps taking Big Oil donations and making cleaner, cheaper energy less available for the rest of us.”

Huizenga also refuses to take on Trump and his order to keep the J.H. Campbell coal plant open, saddling Michigan families with higher utility bills and continuing to pollute our air and water, all while billionaires in the fossil fuel industry benefit.
