President Biden’s clean energy plan is invigorating Tennessee’s economy, creating Made in America jobs, and bringing manufacturing back to the U.S. 

Thanks to President Biden’s affordable clean energy plan, Tennessee’s economy is thriving, providing family-sustaining jobs to the state’s residents. In the months since the Inflation Reduction Act passed, $5.6 billion has been invested to turbocharge Tennessee’s economy, creating 3,850 new clean energy jobs. 

Here are just some examples of Tennessee’s escalating clean energy economy: 

  • LG Chem announced a $3 billion investment to build a battery cathode factory in Clarksville, creating 850 jobs.
  • NOVONIX announced a $1.02 billion investment to build a synthetic graphite anode facility in Chattanooga, creating 1,000 jobs.
  • Ultium Cells announced a $275 million investment to expand its Spring Hill battery manufacturing facility, creating 400 jobs.
  • 6k announced a $107 million investment to build a plasma processing plant in Jackson, creating 150 jobs.

President Biden’s clean energy plan is invigorating the state’s economy. By some estimates, the landmark agenda is projected to increase Tennessee’s GDP by $2.4 billion and create more than 20,000 jobs in the state by 2030.
