SHOT/CHASER: Trump Says Raising Gas Prices Aids the Enemy, Pushes Bill to Raise Gas Prices

Washington, D.C. – With oil prices skyrocketing, Trump is going into a panic, demanding, “To the Department of Energy: DRILL, BABY, DRILL!!! And I mean NOW!!!”
The call is coming from inside the House. The Republican reconciliation bill moving through Congress would crater American energy production, even as we face an energy shortage first from rapidly expanding data centers, and now from turmoil in the Middle East – all of which will lead to a new Republican Rate Hike on utility bills that are already skyrocketing. The legislation would undermine our energy independence and raise gas prices by at least 25 cents per gallon because of increased demand, on top of the spike we’ve already been seeing.
