Biggs Says He Wants the Iran War Over–His Votes Say Otherwise

PHOENIX, AZ — In an interview with Newsmax, Andy Biggs said he wants the war in Iran to end “as quickly as possible.” But when Congress had a chance to end the war, Biggs voted no, hiding behind “presidential authority” instead of standing up for Arizona families who are paying the price. In fact, not long ago Biggs voted to give Trump $95 billion in taxpayer dollars to continue the war as long as he wants.

“Andy Biggs has had the chance to end Donald Trump’s war of choice in Iran, and he voted no every single time. This summer Biggs even voted to give Trump billions of our hard-earned tax dollars, just so we can keep paying even more at the pump,” said Diali Avila, Climate Power Arizona Director. “Arizonans are paying more for gas, groceries, and electricity, while diesel is at a historic high, meanwhile Biggs votes to continue on the same war that’s driving up costs. Now he wants credit for wishing it were over. Voters want a leader who will lower costs, not raise them.”

The war has sent energy costs climbing on top of the price hikes Arizonans are already facing. Trump’s policies have raised the costs for families in the state by $1,873 per household. Biggs voted for the One Big Beautiful Bill that gutted clean energy tax credits, and now he’s rubber-stamping a war that’s pushing costs even higher.
