ICYMI: Gov. Hobbs Delivers $321 Million in Utility Savings for Arizona Families

PHOENIX — Arizonans are catching a break on their utility bills, and Gov. Katie Hobbs’ administration is the reason why.

Hobbs announced last week that the Residential Utility Consumer Office (RUCO) has helped more than 3 million residential customers save over $321 million on electric, water, gas, and sewer bills over the last three years. The savings reached all 15 Arizona counties, from Bisbee to Flagstaff to Casa Grande.

With Arizona’s GOP Congressional delegation rubber stamping Donald Trump’s anti-clean energy agenda, rising utility costs have hit working families hard. Trump’s policies have already cost Arizona families $1,873 per household so far this year. Every dollar Hobbs saves ratepayers is a dollar clawed back from that toll.

“This is what it looks like to fight for Arizona families,” said Diali Avila, Arizona Director for Climate Power. “While Andy Biggs and Juan Ciscomani vote with Trump to gut clean energy jobs and raise costs, Governor Hobbs delivers hundreds of millions of dollars back to ratepayers. In November, Arizonans will remember who fought for them.”
