Washington, DC –  With just 27 days to the midterms, Trump and Republicans have a gas prices problem. In an embarrassing attempt to avoid the topic, when a reporter asked Trump yesterday what he thinks the number one issue is for American voters, he replied, “I don’t know exactly.” Trump can feign ignorance, but even Republican Texas Senate candidate Ken Paxton is acknowledging the truth – voters are angry and bailing on Republicans because Trump’s war in Iran is skyrocketing the price of energy. Meanwhile, endangered Republican Governor of Texas Greg Abbot is skipping Trump’s rally altogether, making clear just how toxic Trump and his energy cost failures have become.  

While Trump’s approval rating hits an all-time low and Republicans’ are in danger of losing previously deep-red seats, it’s clear voters have had enough of Trump and Republican’s reckless energy policy that is driving up gas prices and increasing diesel by nearly $3 since a year ago.
