Mike Rogers Loses Final Debate Because He Can’t Run from Trump and Billionaire Campaign Funders

Billionaire Elon Musk has spent over $1 million to boost Mike Rogers’ Senate campaign
Washington, DC – Mike Rogers has spent his campaign trying to gaslight working Michiganders, and tonight’s debate was no different. Try as he might, Rogers cannot shake the truth – he’s for Trump and the billionaires, not Michiganders. Elon Musk is spending millions to boost Mike Rogers because Rogers vowed to “protect” him instead of putting Michiganders first. Tonight’s debate made it crystal clear – if elected, Rogers will be just another Republican minion for Trump and the billionaires who wish to control our lives, pollute our land, and raise our bills to pad their own pockets.
Instead of holding Trump and Republicans accountable for their disastrous energy policy that has cost Michigan families more than $2,018 this year, Rogers dodged questions and refused to provide real solutions. But Rogers’ record speaks for itself. Earlier this year, Rogers proudly endorsed Trump’s plan to supercharge the buildout of data centers with no serious guardrails. Not to mention, he holds millions in investments that stand to benefit from Trump and Musk ramming through unregulated data centers in Michigan. Voters know Rogers’ ties to data centers will only raise energy costs, and they are ready to hold him accountable for his lies at the ballot box in November.
Climate Power Spokesperson Marcus W. Robinson released the following statement: “Mike Rogers took his final swing and whiffed tonight because Michiganders aren’t buying his campaign conversion on tariffs, data centers, and the costly Iran war. Energy prices are making everything unaffordable, and voters realize it’s the result of the Trump agenda Rogers backed from day one.”
