RFK Jr’s Convention Speech Makes One Thing Clear: For the Trump Administration, It’s Polluters Over Families

Washington, DC –  RFK Jr. wrapped up his convention speech a short while ago and, in what is no surprise to anyone, made it clear that when it comes to choosing polluters or America’s families, the Trump administration will choose polluters every time. Behind his exaggerated claims of “gold standard science” and “ending the chronic disease epidemic” in children is a record that tells a different story. Trump’s policies are hurting our health by giving polluters free rein to pour toxins into our air and water — from handing data centers a free pass on environmental guardrails to slashing dozens of protections that keep families safe.

Under Trump and EPA Administrator Lee  Zeldin, the agency has moved to repeal dozens of major environmental regulations and roll back PFAS limits in drinking water, making kids less safe and putting their health at risk — from the very same ills they claim to be fighting. Ignoring the industries poisoning American families isn’t “common sense” — it’s just another perk for their billionaire backers.

REMINDER: The Trump administration is gutting dozens of pollution protections that were set to deliver $275 billion in benefits per year and prevent 30,000 deaths annually. It repealed the endangerment finding — the government’s core legal obligation to protect Americans from the pollution driving the climate crisis — a decision estimated to cost $4.7 trillion.
