SHOT/CHASER: As Americans Face Record Highs at the Pump, Vance Tells Americans To Be Grateful Gas Prices Aren’t Even Higher 

Diesel prices hit an all-time high yesterday, and Americans are facing the highest Labor Day gas prices on record 

Washington, DC – After his administration kickstarted a global energy crisis with their war of choice in Iran, JD Vance is asking for credit for keeping gas prices low. In reality, diesel prices hit an all-time high of $5.82 per gallon yesterday, and Labor Day gas prices are on track to break records. And it’s not just prices at the pump, Americans are paying more for everything from groceries to airfare as a direct result of Trump’s war. 

Despite previously promising that skyrocketing costs would be “temporary,” Vance admitted that he has no timeline for when prices will come down. Trump has indicated that he is in “no hurry” to end the war, which should come as no surprise given that he has made $15.5 million in oil and gas stocks as Big Oil rakes in $85.2 billion in profits in Q2 alone. Meanwhile, with just over 60 days until Election Day, vulnerable Republicans hoping to keep their jobs this November are scrambling to do damage control.
