Trump’s war of choice in Iran has cost Americans $78.2 billion at the pump

Washington, DC – Chevron and ExxonMobil – two companies in which Trump owns millions of dollars worth of stock – are warning American families that they shouldn’t hold their breath for relief from soaring gas prices, just after announcing billions of dollars in profits thanks to Trump’s war of choice in Iran. Chevron raked in $12 billion in profits in Q2, up nearly 300% since last year, while ExxonMobil doubled their profits since last year, bringing in $14.7 billion

While Trump and his ultra-wealthy oil donors celebrate their own gains, they’re leaving everyone else to pay the price. In recent weeks, gas prices have surpassed $4 per gallon for the second time this year — the first time that’s happened in a single year, ever.
