Statement on JD Vance’s Visit to Hendersonville

Hendersonville, N.C. – In response to JD Vance’s visit to Hendersonville, Climate Power’s North Carolina State Director Terryn Hall issued the following statement:
“The Trump administration has been in charge of FEMA for nearly two years, and North Carolina has had to fight tooth and nail for disaster recovery funding that entire time — and we still don’t have enough for the families who are still struggling to rebuild. Beneath the platitudes and falsehoods from JD Vance’s campaign stop is the reality that the Trump administration’s policies have not helped North Carolina families who are struggling to recover and have caused prices on everything from gas to utility bills to groceries to go up. Republican candidates in North Carolina like Balkcom, Murphy and Whatley would only be rubber stamps on the losing Trump-Vance agenda.”
