Trump Rakes in Nearly $5 Million on Chevron and ExxonMobil Stocks, as Big Oil Rakes in Massive Profits From His War in Iran

Trump holds an estimated $19.6 million in Chevron and ExxonMobil stock, including about $4.6 million in gains since the start of 2026.

The average national price of gas sits at $4.07, higher than it’s ever been this late in the summer.

Washington, DC – New reporting shows that while Americans have been paying hundreds of millions more per day at the pump thanks to Trump’s war of choice with Iran, he has lined his pockets to the tune of $4.6 million thanks to his ownership of stock in Exxon and Chevron. REMINDER: Chevron and Exxon announced a combined $26 billion in Q2 profits — Chevron made $12 billion, up nearly 300% since last year, while Exxon brought in $14.7 billion, doubling its profits year-over-year.

Trump has an estimated $10 million in Exxon Mobil stock and $9.6 million in Chevron stock. That means that, based on the increase in their share prices throughout this year, Trump has personally profited by $4.6 million from these two companies alone. And the corruption is blatant — Trump promised Big Oil and Gas would benefit if they sent his campaign $1 billion, and he has continued to make good on that promise. In Q2 alone, 27 oil and gas companies raked in a total of $85.2 billion — or $39 million per hour.  At the same time, a recent CNN poll found that about three-quarters of Americans said that gas prices had caused them financial hardship.

Climate Power Co-Chair and Former Washington Governor Jay Inslee issued the following statement: “With Trump, corruption never ends. First there was the mugging at Mar-a-Lago, where it is reported that he demanded a billion dollars for his campaign, and now he’s hurting everyday Americans. Thanks to his disastrous and unconstitutional war with Iran, Big Oil and Gas companies have raked in more than $80 billion in profits last quarter, and like always, Trump has lined his own pockets in the process. While he is making millions from his Chevron and Exxon stock holdings alone, Americans are paying more for everything from gas to groceries and utility bills. It’s clear that when he said high gas prices were good for America, what he really meant was that high gas prices were good for him.”

Oil and gas companies are making billions while working families foot the bill with higher prices on everything from gasoline to groceries:
