Washington, D.C. – Today, Climate Power’s Executive Director Lori Lodes issued the following statement after the Department of the Interior released a Final Environmental Impact Statement for the massive ConocoPhillips’ Willow project in America’s Arctic:
“The dirty and dangerous Willow project is completely incompatible with President Biden’s ambitious climate goals. We need to be moving forward with the clean energy boom, not doubling down on costly fossil fuels. And ConocoPhillips does not deserve a handout at the same time it is making record profits at the expense of working families. President Biden should put a stop to this climate disaster before it’s too late.”
