POISON IN OUR COMMUNITIES: WE DESERVE CLEAN AIR & WATER

Corporations are pumping toxic chemicals into our air and water — and politicians like Lee Zeldin are letting it happen.

Every family deserves to breathe clean air, drink safe water, and raise their kids without fear of toxic pollution. But right now, protections that keep poisons like mercury, arsenic, and lead out of our homes and communities are being gutted — all to benefit corporate polluters.

And officials like Lee Zeldin, the head of the Environmental Protection Agency, have sided with Big Oil and corporate lobbyists, putting their profits ahead of our health. Instead of protecting families, Zeldin has stood by while safeguards are dismantled and polluters are handed new ways to avoid accountability.

Here’s what’s happening:

This isn’t about politics — it’s about our health, our kids’ futures, and protecting the places we call home. Lawmakers should be strengthening safeguards, not giving industry lobbyists free rein. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) should be protecting people, not polluters.

If  protections are stripped away, more children  could struggle with asthma, more families worried about what’s in their tap water, more communities left to shoulder the burden of corporate greed. Future generations are counting on us to fight back before it’s too late.

At Climate Power, we’re exposing these rollbacks, holding polluters accountable, and making sure lawmakers know we’re demanding they put families’ health first. But we can’t do it alone — we need people like you standing with us to demand action.
