Passing the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) has kicked America’s clean energy sector into high gear, transforming Pennsylvania into an electric vehicle battery manufacturing powerhouse. Across the state, climate and clean energy projects have already spurred $697.1 million in investment and created or moved forward 1,157 good-paying clean energy jobs. Since the IRA’s passage, four new clean energy projects have been announced or moved forward in Pennsylvania, spanning four sectors – solar, batteries, electrical grid distribution and transmission, and other clean technologies. In Pennsylvania’s rural communities, companies have announced $93.6 million in investment and the creation of 130 good-paying clean energy jobs. The IRA will continue to accelerate the clean energy jobs boom while lowering energy costs for families, investing in disadvantaged communities, and reducing climate pollution across the state.
