Passing the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) has kicked America’s clean energy sector into high gear, transforming Wisconsin into a solar and electric vehicle manufacturing powerhouse. Across the state, climate and clean energy projects have already spurred $445 million in investment and created or moved forward 512 good-paying clean energy jobs. Since the IRA’s passage, nine new clean energy projects have been announced or moved forward in Wisconsin. Projects span five sectors, including solar, batteries, wind, electric vehicles, and other clean technologies. In Wisconsin’s rural communities, companies have announced $345 million in investment and the creation of 100 good-paying clean energy jobs. The IRA will continue to accelerate the clean energy jobs boom while lowering energy costs for families, investing in disadvantaged communities, and reducing climate pollution across the state.
