The Republican Rate Hike has taken a “sledgehammer” to Pennsylvania’s clean energy production, saddling Pennsylvanians with higher energy costs, a weaker electric grid, and job losses. Since Trump’s election, his attacks on clean energy have led to the cancellation or delay of 950 jobs and $182 million of investment in Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania Republicans in Congress overwhelmingly voted for Trump’s bill to create a self-inflicted energy crisis, sending utility costs through the roof, and closing down factories, all to give a massive tax break to oil and gas billionaires.
