BLACK SABBATH: House GOP Rides Crazy Train Towards Mass Job Loss

Washington, D.C. – At 10 PM ET tonight, House Republicans on the Budget Committee will resume moving full steam ahead towards the destruction of nearly 400,000 clean energy manufacturing jobs. The GOP budget will hike up household energy costs, while billionaires get a free ride with huge tax breaks. Instead of increasing American energy independence, the Republican Party is determined to send energy production completely off the rails. 

Climate Power Communications Director Alex Glass issued the following statement: “House Republicans are scrambling to appease the right wing of their party — and tonight they’re having a demolition derby, threatening total destruction for more than 400,000 clean energy manufacturing jobs. Repealing clean energy incentives will send costs through the roof, threaten American energy independence, and put more than twenty-seven thousand jobs at risk. To be clear, Republicans are driving this crazy train, and it’s hardworking Americans who will pay the price for their reckless agenda.”
