Bidenomics is Working in Minnesota

President Biden’s Climate Agenda Has Created 1,000+ Jobs for Minnesota Workers

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Nearing the two-year anniversary of President Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL), a key part of President Biden’s affordable clean energy plan, climate and clean energy investments thanks to Bidenomics have created 1,054 jobs that are putting dinner on the table for families across Minnesota. In just two years, $5.7 billion in funding from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law has been announced for Minnesota alone and is expected to fund over 338 specific projects. Plus, $272 million dollars from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act will go to clean water and water infrastructure to protect vital resources and guarantee clean water for families across the state.

“Nearing the two-year anniversary of the signing of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, it’s clear that Bidenomics is working and Minnesota is reaping the benefits,” said Claire Moser, Deputy Executive Director of Climate Power. “Thanks to the entire Minnesota Democratic delegation’s support of President Biden’s clean energy agenda, more than 1,000 clean energy jobs have been created in the state, and hundreds of millions of dollars are being invested in clean air and clean water for Minnesotans. This is Bidenomics in action and a real reason for everyone involved to celebrate the accomplishment. We look forward to continued progress for Minnesota as the state’s federally elected officials continue to work with President Biden to grow our clean energy economy.”

These jobs and investments are thanks to Minnesota’s Congressional Democratic leaders, who are unfailing champions of President Biden’s clean energy and climate investments. Senator Tina Smith, Senator Amy Klobuchar, Representative Angie Craig, Representative Betty McCollum, and Representative Dean Phillips all voted for the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law in addition to the Inflation Reduction Act and the CHIPS and Science Act, while Representative Ilhan Omar added her votes to the Inflation Reduction Act and CHIPS.  This teamwork is allowing our nation to make smart, fiscally responsible investments in our infrastructure and in our people.
