Climate Power Announces New Senior Communications Lead Ahead of 2024

Alex Glass will join the organization as managing director of communications

Washington, D.C. – Climate Power is announcing Alex Glass, a veteran campaign strategist, as the organization’s head of communications for the 2024 cycle and beyond.

“I could not be more excited to have Alex on the Climate Power team. One thing we know for sure: this election is a climate election, and we are building a world-class team to take on climate deniers and make sure Americans understand the progress we’ve made,” said Climate Power executive director Lori Lodes. “Alex brings decades of experience working on political campaigns and an incredible strategic vision. She will help us lead the charge toward the clean energy future we know is possible.”

“When Donald Trump says he’ll ‘drill, drill, drill’ on day one of a return to the White House, we know the clean energy economy and jobs are on the line in this election. I’m excited to join the incredible team at Climate Power to protect our health, jobs, and environment by calling out climate deniers and their Big Oil allies” said Climate Power managing director of communications Alex Glass. “This is the issue of our time, and I can’t wait to get to work.”

Alex Glass is an accomplished senior-level political, communications, and policy strategist with two decades of experience at the highest levels of government and national political campaigns. She recently served as a Senior Vice President at GMMB, where she crafted message and strategy connecting candidates and campaigns directly with voters to win races including the re-elections of Governors Gretchen Whitmer and Laura Kelly and the successful election of U.S. Senator John Fetterman.

Alex also served as the Western States Director for the Biden-Harris campaign in 2020, as Senior Communications Officer at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and held roles with EMILY’s List, the Democratic National Convention, and U.S. Senator Patty Murray.

Alex founded Glass Ceiling Strategies, where she has served as a consultant for public and private sector entities on political, public affairs, and communications matters.
