CLIMATE POWER DEBUTS NEW AD “GOOD MORNING” AT THE END OF EARTH WEEK

Part of the Great American Build Campaign, “Good Morning” Highlights Urgent Need to Act to Build Back Better With Clean Energy Jobs

Washington, D.C. – At the end of Earth Week and following the White House World Leaders Summit on Climate, Climate Power released “Good Morning,” a new ad emphasizing the urgency in rebuilding America and creating good-paying union clean energy jobs in the process. The ad launched on D.C. cable today, part of a larger $3 million ad buy on national and Washington, D.C. cable. “Good Morning” shows that we are entering a new era of bold climate policy, and construction workers, mechanics, electricians, and engineers across the country will both bring back our economy and fight climate change.

“President Biden’s American Jobs Plan is critical in our efforts to build a clean energy economy and prioritize climate action in getting millions of Americans back to work,” said Climate Power executive director Lori Lodes. “One thing is clear this Earth Week: jobs and our climate are inextricably linked. We must do everything we can right now to recover, rebuild and tackle climate change. Let’s get to work.”

“Good Morning” is part of the Great American Build campaign, a partnership between Climate Power, the League of Conservation Voters, and other allies committed to big, bold investments in clean energy and infrastructure. The Great American Build will spend more than $10 million to push for transformational investments in clean energy and infrastructure.

new survey released this week by Data For Progress in partnership with Climate Power, found that the vast majority of voters (76%) want America to exhibit global leadership to address climate change. There is also strong bipartisan support for Biden’s American Jobs Plan (71%) when voters are given information about the climate and clean energy components of the plan.
