The recognition honors Latino leaders driving climate solutions for their communities and the planet
WASHINGTON — Climate Power En Acción Executive Director Antonieta Cádiz has been named to Sachamama’s The 100 Latinos Most Committed to Climate Action 2026 list. The annual list is produced in partnership with the EFE news agency and supported by allied organizations. It recognizes Latino leaders for their work across climate activism, communications, environmental rights, sustainable policy, science, and corporate impact. Cádiz leads Climate Power En Acción’s work to make sure Latino communities are heard in the fight for clean energy, lower costs, and cleaner air and water.
Climate Power En Acción Executive Director Antonieta Cádiz issued the following statement:
“This recognition isn’t mine alone. It belongs to the Latino families living the climate and environmental crisis firsthand: the millions of workers who risk their lives in extreme heat, those suffering from respiratory illnesses caused by air pollution, and those who have lost everything to historic floods. And it belongs to everyone fighting for real, lasting change that truly protects us, not just in words. It’s an honor to stand alongside so many leaders who show up for our people. At Climate Power En Acción, we do it with three tools: connection, communication, and community. ¡Adelante!”
Antonieta Cádiz is the Executive Director and Founder of Climate Power En Acción, the climate movement’s Latino communications hub. A nationally recognized journalist and climate leader, she has built and led campaigns that have reached millions of Latinos across the United States, combating disinformation and mobilizing communities to take bold action on climate change.
