Climate Power Launches Paid Media Campaign To Build Back Better By Investing In A Clean Energy Future

Washington, D.C. – Today, as President-elect Joe Biden takes the oath of office and kicks off his first day in the White House with critical environmental steps to protect American families, Climate Power is launching a paid media campaign supporting bold action on the climate crisis.

The six-figure ad buy kicks off Climate Power’s campaign push to take bold action on climate change and to build back better by creating millions of good-paying clean energy jobs and investing in a more just and equitable economy. The ad, Define The Moment,” will run in the Washington, D.C. media market on CNN and MSNBC and on various digital platforms starting on Inauguration Day.

“This is our climate moment,” said Climate Power Executive Director Lori Lodes. “Biden’s bold plan to build back better makes good on his promise to tackle the climate crisis while restoring our economy and addressing environmental injustice. It’s time to get to work to build the clean energy future that Americans voted for in November.”

The campaign will continue with additional ads to be announced over the course of President-elect Biden’s first weeks in office.

Full script for “Define the Moment”:

There are moments that define us.

But sometimes we define the moment.

Our moment to take bold action on climate change is now.

We can build back better. With a clean energy future.

By investing in infrastructure. Creating millions of good-paying union jobs. And a more just and equitable economy for all.

The future is ours to make.

It starts now.
