Climate Power Statement on North America’s Building Trades Unions Endorsement

Washington, D.C. – In response to North America’s Building Trades Unions endorsing President Biden, Climate Power deputy executive director Claire Moser released the following statement: 

“President Biden has proven that the most pro-worker president in history can also be the greatest climate president of all time. The clean energy manufacturing boom and infrastructure improvements that Biden has ushered are already starting to create millions of good-paying jobs, all providing cleaner, cheaper energy choices for all Americans. In contrast, Donald Trump has launched an all-out war on American clean energy, promising to crush these American industries, ceding these jobs and America’s economic leadership to China. Donald Trump owes American workers an explanation for why he wants to halt hundreds of billions of dollars of private sector investments that communities—disproportionately communities that have been left behind in the past—are counting on.”
