House Budget Committee Republicans Take Aim at 27,000 Jobs in Their Own Districts

Washington, DC — Today, Republicans on the House Budget Committee are working to advance legislation that directly threatens more than 27,000 good-paying jobs and $22 billion of investment in their own districts.

The GOP budget bill would cripple American manufacturing and clean energy production, while stripping health care from millions and adding trillions to the deficit – all so billionaires and megacorporations can get another massive tax cut. As this new research shows, it’s working families like the ones these House Republicans are paid to represent who would pay the price.

Below is a rundown of the $22.75 billion in investment and 27,023 jobs that would be on the chopping block in Republican Budget Committee members’ districts if they succeed in passing this bill into law. The full list of projects under threat can be found here.
