Washington, DC – Donald Trump is holding closed-door meetings with his oil and gas buddies while Americans continue to face skyrocketing prices at the pump. With just six months until the midterm elections and anxiety over energy costs spiking, you would think that Trump would be hyper-focused on lowering gas prices. Instead, he is once again prioritizing his billionaire donors over his promises to lower costs for the American people. 

This isn’t the first time Trump has met with oil and gas executives behind closed doors. On the campaign, he gathered Big Oil donors and offered them a “deal” if they donated a billion dollars to his campaign. Now, some of those same oil and gas companies, including a company founded and formerly run by Trump’s Energy Secretary Chris Wright, are reporting massive profits in their first quarterly earnings reports since the start of Trump’s war.
