ICYMI: Hoffman and Trump’s EPA Chief Push Anti-Regulation Agenda in AZ—Climate Power Responds

Phoenix – Arizona state Senator Jake Hoffman held a roundtable at the Arizona Senate with U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Lee Zeldin and representatives from Arizona Public Service, Honeywell Aerospace and others. The conversation last week centered on misleading claims that EPA clean air and energy protections are harming Arizona’s economy.
Sen. Hoffman’s and the Trump administration’s supposed concern for Arizona families is a distraction. The real threat to Arizona’s economy isn’t stronger health protections—it’s a political agenda that puts polluters ahead of public health and working families.
Climate Power released the following statement from Arizona State Director Diali Avila:
“Trump’s EPA Administrator, Lee Zeldin, has announced a series of actions that will weaken critical health protections, raise costs for families, and make it easier for oligarchs and corporations to pollute our air and water. This is the future Trump’s EPA is pushing for in Arizona—one that prioritizes Big Oil and their friends, not the health and economy of the people of Arizona.”
