ICYMI: Trump Defunds Critical Clean Energy Investments in Nevada

Carson City, Nevada –U.S. Representatives Marcy Kaptur (OH-09) and Rosa DeLauro (CT-03) today released a summary of federal funds illegally withheld by the Trump Administration that support clean energy consumer rebates and key investments in job-creating clean energy projects. A series of seven fact sheets (linked below) document the current impact of federal funding cuts across key program areas.

“Trump’s funding cuts are not only illegal and unconstitutional, they’re killing American jobs, strangling innovation, and increasing energy costs for families in Nevada and across the nation,” said Mónica Pérez, Climate Power’s Managing Director, States.

The fact sheets below provide state-by-state statistics, including the value of federal funds being cut in Nevada:

Nevada State Total: $254M (plus up to $1.2B for the California Hydrogen Hub and a $6.05B loan for clean energy projects)

Donald Trump campaigned on lowering energy costs, but his executive orders have directly increased electricity bills for Americans.
