INTERIOR SECRETARY HAALAND’S VISIT TO NEW YORK WILL SPOTLIGHT INNOVATION AND GROWTH IN WIND POWER

Albany, N.Y.  — Interior Secretary Deb Haaland’s visit to New York will spotlight President Biden’s clean energy plan and how Bidenomics is providing New Yorkers with good-paying jobs that don’t require four-year degrees.

The Biden administration’s affordable clean energy plan has invigorated New York’s clean energy economy. Since the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act, 11 clean energy projects have been announced or furthered, totaling $101 billion in investments. These projects have reported 13,355 clean energy jobs in the state

Some examples of New York’s growing clean energy economy:

Thanks to President Biden’s clean energy plan, New York is receiving historic investments in climate resiliency programs and cost-saving efficiency projects. Last year, the Department of Energy announced that New York would be receiving over $317 million in home energy rebate funding to lower energy costs and make homes more energy efficient.
