NEW: Climate Power Ad Highlights American Climate Corps, Jobs

Washington, D.C. — Climate Power launched an ad highlighting the success of the American Climate Corps, a workforce training and service program created by the Biden-Harris administration to give young people access to the skills-based training necessary for good-paying, high-quality jobs in the clean energy and climate resilience economy. “Chainsaw” focuses on Nik Dworek, a member of the American Climate Corps who works on a chainsaw crew to prevent wildfires, and highlights that MAGA extremists would put these good-paying jobs at risk. The ad is part of an ongoing $3.1 million education campaign focused on young Americans.
“The American Climate Corps is creating pathways to good-paying jobs for young people across the country and helping us fight the climate crisis,” said Climate Power communications director Alex Glass. “It’s critical that Americans understand how the Biden-Harris administration’s climate accomplishments are helping their communities – and that MAGA extremists want to tear our progress down.”
The American Climate Corps, which offers young Americans opportunities to work in climate- and clean energy-related fields, is supported by a majority of voters (65%), including more than three-quarters of voters ages 18-34 (76%).

Some people carry a briefcase to work. I carry one of these.
I’m Nik Dworek, one of the first members of the American Climate Corps, and I run three chainsaw crews.
Our job? Prevent wildfires, and I’ve loved every second of it.
Because climate change is threatening our way of life, and I want to do something about it.
But some politicians want to cut the Clean Energy Plan, causing my job and thousands like it to come crashing down.
We can’t let that happen.
