PRESIDENT BIDEN’S NORTH CAROLINA VISIT WILL SPOTLIGHT WORKFORCE TRAINING EFFORTS FOR JOBS

WASHINGTON, D.C. — President Biden’s North Carolina visit will spotlight how workforce training programs are preparing students for good-paying jobs. The Biden administration’s clean energy plan incentives robust job training programs and stimulates rapid economic growth in communities across North Carolina, creating good-paying jobs that don’t require four year degrees.

Thanks to Biden’s clean energy plan, North Carolina’s economy is thriving—and providing new jobs for the Tar Heel State. According to Climate Power’s latest Clean Energy Jobs Report, in the months since the Inflation Reduction Act passed, $9.6 billion has been invested to turbocharge North Carolina’s economy, creating over 3,600 clean energy jobs.

Some examples of North Carolina’s turbocharged clean energy economy:

Additionally, the Biden administration’s affordable clean energy plan has invested in bold climate resiliency programs and cost-saving efficiency projects. Last year, the Department of Energy announced that North Carolina would be receiving over $208 million in home energy rebate funding to lower energy costs and make homes more energy efficient.
