The national average price of gas is $4.53, with American households expected to pay $876 more at the pump this year
Utility bills have also skyrocketed under Trump’s watch, as he pays energy companies billions to take energy options off the grid
Washington, DC – As his war of choice plummets us into a global energy crisis and sends inflation soaring, Donald Trump isn’t even trying to hide the fact that he could not care less about American families. When asked whether Americans’ economic pain was motivating him to end his war of choice in Iran, Trump said, “not even a little bit.”
While Trump admits he isn’t thinking about American families, one group that is definitely on his mind is his ultra-wealthy oil and gas donors. They have been raking in billions of extra dollars in profits since before Trump’s war, making more than $30 million an hour during the first month of Trump’s war in Iran.
REMINDER: This is not the first time that Trump has made it clear where his priorities lie. Since he launched his deeply unpopular war of choice, he’s said soaring energy costs were a good thing, downplayed the impacts on American wallets, and claimed skyrocketing gas prices were a ‘very small price to pay’.
SHOT: Trump says he doesn’t “think about Americans’ financial situation”.
