SHOT/CHASER: Trump Says He Has “The Best Numbers” of Any President As Unemployment Rate Rises

Most Americans blame Trump for high prices as his economic approval hits new low

Washington, DC –  As the unemployment rate rises, gas prices surge, and just 17% of U.S. adults approve of Trump’s handling of the cost of living crisis, Trump is making a desperate attempt in red states to try and convince voters he’s doing really well, actually.

Despite promising to lower gas and energy costs, Trump and Republicans’ disastrous policies, from starting a war of choice in Iran to canceling and delaying over 400 clean energy projects, have created an economic crisis that has spiked utility bills by as much as 18% and is raising fuel prices to record highs.

Now, as a result of their failed energy policy, Trump and Republicans are losing ground to Democrats in seats once considered safe. Trump and Republicans can try and spin the truth, but with 32 days to the midterms, their self-created cost of living crisis is so unpopular, they’re losing their base.
