Trump Administration Officials Admit That Gas Prices May Stay High Through the Midterms

More than a month into Trump’s war of choice with Iran, Trump and Republicans can’t even agree on which lie to tell to the American people
Experts agree it will take months for prices at the pump to return to pre-war levels even if the conflict ends
Washington, DC – Trump administration officials are desperately trying to get themselves out of the mess that they created by throwing excuses at the American people, but unfortunately for them, they can’t even seem to get on the same page on what to tell them. After his own Energy Secretary’s admission that gas prices may not fall to pre-war levels until after the midterm elections, Donald Trump insisted that he was wrong. Ironically, though, Wright was only echoing an answer Trump himself gave to Fox Business a week ago.
Meanwhile, other Republicans are promising that pain at the pump will be “short-lived,” but the Strait of Hormuz has been effectively closed for 50 days and counting. With the midterms just seven months away and a majority of voters saying that gas prices are a financial burden, vulnerable Republicans like Mike Lawler should start updating their resumes because the American people aren’t buying their spin.

AND DON’T FORGET: Tomorrow, oil and gas companies will begin reporting their Q1 profits. The world’s top oil and gas companies made more than $30 million every hour in unearned profit during the first month of Trump’s war.
