CLIMATE POWER STATEMENT ON EPA’S NEW POWER PLANT PROPOSAL

Washington, D.C. – Today, Lori LodesExecutive Director of Climate Power, issued the following statement on the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) new proposed plan  requiring power plants to slash harmful climate pollution:

“The EPA’s new proposal to cut climate pollution from power plants is further proof of the Biden Administration’s steadfast commitment to tackling the climate crisis. For too long, we have risked the health of communities and the future of our planet so fossil fuel CEOs can continue business as usual. Enough is enough. Reducing harmful climate pollution is critical for building  a future with cleaner air, cleaner water and lower costs for families — all while creating millions of good paying jobs.”
