Wasteful Whatley cosigns Trump’s $1.8 Billion Slush Fund

Raleigh N.C. — At a recent campaign stop in Brunswick County, GOP Senate candidate Michael Whatley voiced support for President Trump’s $1.8 Billion slush fund to support the perpetrators of the Jan. 6 Insurrection. Whatley expressed his loyalty to President Trump and his massive giveaway to criminals, despite Trump being underwater 39% in North Carolina on gas prices and costs continuing to rise across the state.

Climate Power State Director Terryn Hall issued the following statement:

“Michael Whatley is in lockstep with President Trump, including on his support for this slush fund for insurrectionists, while North Carolinians struggle to fill their gas tanks, keep the lights on, and put food on the table. This is a slap in the face to North Carolina’s hard-working families.”
